VSCodium

The database extension
for VSCodium.

Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and 80+ other engines in a tab next to your code. Published to Open VSX with every release, no marketplace workarounds.

Install

Install DBCode in VSCodium.

  1. Open the Extensions panel in VSCodium.
  2. Search for "DBCode".
  3. Click Install.

VSCodium uses Open VSX as its extension gallery, and DBCode publishes every release there at the same time as the VS Code Marketplace. No product.json edits, no sideloading. Same version, same features.

What you get

A database IDE inside VSCodium.

AI, on your terms

Local models welcome.

If you run VSCodium, you probably care where your data goes. DBCode's AI features are opt-in and provider-agnostic: point inline SQL completion and the AI data grid at your own provider, including a local Ollama instance, so nothing leaves your machine. External MCP clients like Claude Desktop can connect through DBCode's opt-in localhost MCP server.
