Browsing, querying, and editing data are all free, along with transaction control, read-only connections and roles, missing WHERE detection, unlimited history, and the MCP server for your AI agent. These features are free permanently. Free includes commercial use, for teams of any size. Pro adds AI assistance, data tooling, sync and sharing, cloud integrations, and more.

What's the difference between subscription and lifetime?

Subscription. All features and updates while subscribed. Cancel anytime. After 12 consecutive months of payments you earn a perpetual license, and it covers every version released before your subscription ends, not just the version available at the 12 month mark. Stop paying and you keep a working DBCode forever; you just stop getting new updates. Online features, AI and sharing, need an active subscription.

Lifetime. Pay once. Every update, every new feature, every new database we add, forever. AI and sharing stay active with no expiry.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. No credit card needed. Try every feature before deciding.

Can I switch plans later?

Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades are prorated for the remainder of your billing period.

How does the Team plan work?

Team is $72 / year per user, with a minimum of 2 users. You pay for the seats you use, not a fixed block. Each member gets all Pro features plus the team-only controls. Add or remove members any time, and assign roles to control feature access.

Do I need GitHub Copilot for AI features?

Schema-aware chat and Copilot tools require GitHub Copilot. Inline code completion is included in Pro and Team without additional cost. The MCP server is free for everyone.
