Install
Quickly install DBCode in Visual Studio Code for enhanced database management.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Visual Studio Code
Section titled “Visual Studio Code”Follow these instructions if you don’t have VS Code installed.
A Database
Section titled “A Database”If you don’t have an existing supported database, you can host your own or explore using the sample database included with the extension.
Install DBCode
Section titled “Install DBCode”- Open Visual Studio Code and click on the extension icon on the left-hand side.
- Search for “DBCode”
- Complete the installation by clicking on “Install”.
Accessing DBCode
Section titled “Accessing DBCode”Now that the extension is installed, you can access it via the DBCode logo in the activity bar (usually on the left hand side).
The Getting Started walkthrough
Section titled “The Getting Started walkthrough”On first install, DBCode adds a Get Started with DBCode walkthrough to your editor’s Welcome page. It walks you through connecting your database (or opening the bundled sample database) and putting your editor’s AI assistant to work. To open it later: command palette → Welcome: Open Walkthrough → Get Started with DBCode.
